JOB/POSITION SUMMARY: The Secondary School Physical Education/Health Teacher plans for and implements differentiated instruction aligned to the Missouri Grade Level Expectations as part of a Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model, allowing all students to acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to make health-promoting decisions. The Physical Education/Health teacher ensures the curriculum promotes a physically active lifestyle; develops cooperation, teamwork, and sportsmanship; and provides ample opportunity for students to engage in regular physical activity that promotes individual growth and development.
REPORTS TO: High School and Middle School Principals

SHIFT TYPE: Full-Time
SCHEDULE: 189 day contract based on the district academic calendar and building hours
SALARY: Annual Salary starting from $46,507 - depending on experience and education

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor Degree in Education, or content related field required
- 6-12 Health and PE experience required
- Experience working with a diverse population of children preferred
- MO Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teaching Certification in Physical Education and Health required
