Description JOB/POSITION SUMMARY: The school counselor implements the Missouri Model Guidance Program; providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for helping students develop life skills; supporting student academic achievement; providing individual and group counseling to students; providing support during a crisis; working with community agencies and working with parents, teachers, support staff and the community.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
Qualifications EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Certified
SHIFT TYPE: Full-Time
SCHEDULE: 189 day contract 5 day extended contract based on the district academic calendar and building hours (One-Year-Only Contract)
SALARY: Annual salary starting from $46,507 - depending on experience and certification

- Master’s Degree in an applicable field of study/education from an accredited college or university required
- Experience working with a diverse population of children preferred
- Valid Missouri Counseling Certificate required
