We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care . This role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and patient service to support physicians effectively. This role is a MUST have for DETAILED information and Critical thinking. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations while delivering compassionate care to diverse patient populations.
Duties
- Critical thinking is a huge part of the MA position
- Researching labs, tests for accurate reporting in patient charts
- Understanding prescription refills / request
- Taking phone calls from patients to provider medical care
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs accurately.
- Assist with patient examinations
- Operate EHR systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans.
- Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure compliance with safety protocols in hospital or outpatient settings.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, and health maintenance strategies.
- MUST BE VERY DETAIL ORIENTED and follow instructions precisely
- Experienced
- Prior experience working in outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding, and pharmacology.
- Experience with EHR eClinical systems and medical administrative support is essential for efficient documentation.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; additional certifications like Basic Life Support (BLS) are highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
