What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Care Physician position at Brentwood MD?
Brentwood MD was built around a simple but increasingly rare belief: primary care should be deeply personal, proactive, relationship-based, and excellent.
In a healthcare system that often asks physicians to move faster, see more patients, document more, and do less of the meaningful work that drew them to medicine in the first place, Brentwood MD chose a different path.
We are an independent, physician-led concierge primary care practice in Brentwood, Tennessee. We are not owned by a hospital system, private equity group, or corporate healthcare platform. That independence matters. It allows us to make decisions based on what is best for our members, our physicians, our team, and the long-term health of the practice.
Brentwood MD launched in 2017, before concierge primary care was widely understood in the Nashville market. In many ways, we helped pioneer this model locally. We have been in this space long enough to understand what works, what does not, and what it truly takes to deliver an exceptional concierge medicine experience over time.
We are not chasing a trend. We have been building this intentionally for years.
Our members are individuals and families who want an exceptional level of access, thoughtfulness, clinical care, and trust. They are often executives, entrepreneurs, high-performing professionals, and families who value health as one of their most important assets.
But what makes Brentwood MD special is not just the concierge model. It is the way we practice medicine.
Our physicians have the time and space to know their patients well. They are not rushing through 15-minute visits or managing overwhelming panels. They are building long-term relationships, thinking preventively, coordinating care thoughtfully, and helping members make decisions that can meaningfully change the trajectory of their lives.
We believe the best primary care physician is not just someone who treats illness. They are a trusted advisor, a steady presence, a clinical quarterback, and sometimes the person who sees the pattern before anyone else does.
That is the kind of medicine we are trying to protect.
Our Culture
Our culture matters deeply. Our core values are not decorative. They are how we make decisions, hire, lead, serve, and care for one another.
- We are kind. Above all else, we are kind. This includes kindness to ourselves and to others.
- We are humble. We all have an ego, we just don't ever lead with it. Instead, we lead with authentic emotional and intellectual humility. We aim to find truth, not prove we are right.
- We are resourceful. We are creative and energetic problem solvers. Lightening bolts.
- We are accountable. We take total ownership of our actions and responsibilities. We own our stuff.
- 51:49. In every relationship, we give more than we receive. Is this concierge?
Where We Are Going
Brentwood MD is in an exciting stage of growth. We are not trying to become a large, impersonal healthcare company. We are trying to become the best version of ourselves: the premier independent concierge primary care practice in Nashville.
That means growing intentionally, protecting our culture, refining our member experience, strengthening our clinical systems, and continuing to attract physicians who want to practice medicine at a very high level.
Our independence gives us the ability to be nimble, thoughtful, and deeply aligned with our mission. Our physician leadership gives us the clinical integrity to grow without losing sight of what matters most.
We are building something that requires both clinical excellence and ownership-level thinking. The right physician will not simply “join a practice.” They will help shape the next chapter of Brentwood MD.
The Kind of Physician Who Thrives Here

They meet our Core Values, full stop. They have empathy, curiosity, and a thirst for continuous learning.
They build trust through consistency, presence, and follow through.

They want to be part of a team.
They care about the details.
They understand that exceptional care includes both clinical excellence and how people feel when they interact with us.
