Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and general facility upkeep to ensure optimal operational condition
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
- Support welding projects and perform residential painting as needed to maintain building aesthetics and safety standards
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems and assist with their calibration and troubleshooting
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance tasks
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to accurately diagnose issues
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and quality standards are met
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in electrical work, including reading schematics and using testing tools like ohmmeters
- Hands-on welding skills for repair and fabrication tasks
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting
- Ability to perform residential painting with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English
- Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance or facilities teams is a plus
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management
- Basic understanding of schematics related to electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance
