We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to support our two-doctor practice, specializing in both general and cosmetic dentistry.
In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our patients have the best dental experience possible. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service alongside our beloved office dog, Chai, a golden doodle who brings comfort to our patients, especially those with anxiety.
Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma and have at least three years of experience in dental assisting. An x-ray certification is required. In our tightly-knit team, we emphasize growth, collaboration, and fun, ensuring that our workplace feels like a family.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize 3D scanners for creating digital impressions when necessary.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of dental terminology.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Experience with infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners, effectively.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
- Well -organized and reliable
