Expeditor

Brentwood Country Club is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Food & Beverage Expeditor to coordinate the flow of food between the kitchen and our Dining Room and Tavern. This position is essential to maintaining accurate orders, timely service, exceptional presentation, and the elevated dining experience expected by our members and guests.

The Food & Beverage Expeditor serves as the primary communication link between the culinary and service teams. This individual coordinates the timing, accuracy, presentation, and delivery of every order while helping both teams maintain an efficient and consistent pace of service.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, attentive to detail, calm under pressure, and committed to providing a member-first dining experience.

• Manage food flow from the kitchen to the Dining Room and Tavern during assigned meal periods.
• Organize and prioritize tickets to maintain consistent ticket times and an efficient pace of service.
• Coordinate the timing and sequence of appetizers, entrees, desserts, daily specials, and other menu items.
• Inspect every plate before it leaves the kitchen, checking presentation, temperature, portion size, garnish, and overall quality.
• Verify order accuracy, including ticket details, seat numbers, modifications, allergies, and dietary requests.
• Confirm order completeness by ensuring all sauces, sides, garnishes, and accompaniments are included before releasing an order.
• Communicate promptly with servers and managers regarding delays, timing adjustments, menu changes, and unavailable items.
• Monitor ticket times, identify service bottlenecks, and bring concerns to the appropriate manager or chef.
• Coordinate with servers and food runners to ensure complete orders are delivered to the correct tables and seats.
• Prioritize special requests, including allergy-sensitive orders, children's meals, large parties, and time-sensitive member requests.
• Maintain the expo station so it remains clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for service.
• Review pre-shift information, including daily specials, menu changes, unavailable items, reservations, allergies, and special occasions.
• Promote teamwork and accountability through professional communication and a consistent member-first approach.

• Sound judgment and the ability to remain composed during high-volume service periods.
• Knowledge of food presentation, service timing, and order accuracy.
• Understanding of food allergies, dietary restrictions, and safe food-handling practices.
• Previous restaurant, country club, hospitality, food-running, or expediting experience is preferred.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
