Brentwood Builders is seeking an experienced Design & Selections Project Manager to manage the day-to-day design and selections process for luxury custom homes.
This person will serve as the primary design contact for clients, lead selection meetings, obtain and review quotes, manage selections against project allowances, and ensure all decisions are completed on time. Senior leadership will remain involved in the overall creative direction, while this position owns the daily execution, organization, and client communication.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead client design and selection meetings
- Create and maintain selection schedules tied to construction deadlines
- Proactively follow up with clients to keep selections on time
- Track project allowances and guide clients toward budget-conscious decisions
- Identify and communicate budget overruns before selections are approved
- Obtain, review, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Verify that quotes accurately reflect the selected products and complete scope
- Document selections, pricing, approvals, specifications, and outstanding decisions
- Create and revise plans, elevations, layouts, and design details using AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Coordinate product samples, availability, pricing, and lead times
- Communicate approved selections clearly to vendors, operations, and field teams
- Review architectural plans to identify upcoming decisions or potential conflicts
- Maintain accurate project information in ERP
- Attend job sites, showrooms, and client meetings as needed
Qualified candidates should have at least three years of experience in custom residential construction, interior design, or selections management. Professional working experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp is required. Candidates must be highly organized, comfortable managing budgets and quotes, able to read residential plans, and capable of confidently managing relationships with luxury residential clients.
- An interior design, architecture, or related degree is preferred but not required. Experience with luxury construction and high-end selections is strongly preferred.
