Summary of Basic Function:
Brentwood Bank is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to support the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs. This entry-level position focuses primarily on benefits enrollment, data entry, provides basic support to employees regarding benefit questions, and helps with administrative tasks in the human resources department. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and can maintain confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of forms and documentation
- Enter and update employee benefit data in HR systems and carrier portals
- Verify benefits data for accuracy and completeness.
- Support Open Enrollment activities, including distributing materials and tracking responses
- Respond to routine inquiries about benefit offerings and eligibility, escalating complex issues as needed
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records related to benefit administration
- Coordinate with HR Manager to ensure timely and accurate benefits deductions from payroll
- Assist in generating standard reports related to benefits participation and enrollment
- Perform general administrative HR tasks, such as filing and document preparation
- Support additional HR projects and tasks as requested by the HR team or management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree or coursework in HR or related field preferred
- 1 year of administrative or data entry experience, preferably in HR or benefits
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Basic knowledge of employee benefits (medical, dental vision, 401(k), etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Experience with HRIS or benefits enrollment systems a plus
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

- Work may be performed in an office environment with normal noise levels. Involves prolonged sitting and computer usage, frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, frequent lifting of 1-10lbs, occasional lifting of up to 50lbs, ability to see and read fine print, must be able to distinguish and count currency.
- The position is headquartered in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, and incumbent will need to live within a commutable distance.
