Job Summary
The Chemist I conducts applications testing and provides formulation expertise on supplier materials and customer products and provides product support for sales and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform physical testing of chemicals/ingredients
- Evaluate the physical and chemical properties of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods in accordance with approved procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness of the lab as well as other routine laboratory tasks.
- Provide quality testing, sampling, analysis, formulation, characterization to ensure quality/standards are being met.
- Document quality activities to prove a record of quality compliance efforts
- Conducts quality control testing and recertification of products as necessary.
- Produces document(s) to communicate lab results.
- Participates in joint sales calls and conference calls with sales representatives at customers.
- Participates in principal/vendor visits and conference calls to present lab findings and recommendations.
- Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field or commensurate of education and experience.
- Two years of laboratory experience preferred
