What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Brenntag AG?
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of the Operation Manager's duties in his absence.
- Assume authority for the direct supervision of all production departments.
- Assist in reviews and analysis of safety, production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications, or operating or production problems.
- Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate production / operating problems and improve product quality.
- Assist in revising production schedules and priorities as a result of safety audits, customer demands, equipment failure, and operating problems.
- Assist each production department when the Departmental Supervisor goes on vacation or is absent.
- Monitor and coordinate disposition of non-conforming material.
- Coordinate hazardous waste functions.
- Monitor and control Regulatory postings.
- Participate in customer plant visits.
- Responsible for maintenance of and overseeing training records.
- Responsible for monitoring and training production personnel as required by the BMS Operations Regulatory &
- Training Manual.
- Participate in monthly safety inspections and safety meetings.
- Assist production personnel in the development of Process Descriptions and subsequent training requirements.
