Feed Truck Driver (5301)

Summary of Position

Safely operate a commercial feed truck to deliver feed from the feed mill to production facilities and other destinations.

Job Duties

• Operate company-owned feed truck to deliver feed from feed mill to production facilities and other destinations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment daily and document checks
• Unload feed at the correct destination and correct bin
• Complete and maintain required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner (electronic logs, scale tickets, physical forms, etc.)
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and comply with all company safety policies
• Comply with all bio-security rules
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues immediately to direct supervisor, and schedule preventative maintenance with company mechanic on routine basis
• Report any incidents, accidents, injuries or property damage immediately to direct supervisor
• Comply with DOT rules and regulations
• Ensure the interior and exterior of truck remains clean as conditions allow
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Skills/Experience

• Possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License, with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical
• Ability to operate a manual semi-tractor on country rural roads
• Ability to read maps
• Comprehension of Federal, State, and local regulations as it pertains to driving commercial vehicles 
• Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
• Must meet all DOT requirements and comply with DOT rules and regulations
• Previous truck driving experience desired

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and remain alert while driving safely for extended periods of time
• Properly and safely enter and exit vehicle cabs multiple times per day
• Perform occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, and climbing throughout the workday, and periodically perform above the shoulder movements
• Ability to lift 60 pounds
