JOB SUMMARY:
Provide strong assistance in the efficient operation of the District Information and Instructional Technology Departments and all areas related to District computer and/or networks and related systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and maintain the IIT support request software and related tickets.
- Coordinate/supervise Computer Technicians and Building Level Technology Assistants (BLTA) to prioritize and complete work orders
- Setup and installation of new hardware and software.
- Setup and configure printers and scanners.
- Maintain and repair computers and peripheral equipment.
- Provide limited amount of technical support for various software packages used throughout the District, including but not limited to student tracking, cafeteria and library systems.
- Assist in evaluation of software packages.
- Provide technical support on networks at building sites as necessary.
- Assist with IIT inventories and fixed asset tags.
- Provide support with District assigned user names and passwords.
- Work with vendors providing technical services to the District.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Administration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires supervisory responsibilities of Computer Technicians, BLTAs and vendors.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree in related field preferred
- Must have demonstrated experience working with various software applications, databases and related management programs.
- Knowledge of computer systems, networks, databases, and related software/hardware.
- Preference will be provided to candidates with at least three (3) years of experience in a school setting or related technical field.
- Associate’s degree in related field required prior to any track advancement on the salary schedule
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all aspects of the school community is required.
- Ability to solve conflicts, maintain confidentiality and remain open to various ideas and viewpoints is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to use and teach mathematics commensurate with assigned position.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while complying with established policies and procedures of the building and district.
- Identifies and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Ability to concentrate, think, read and learn is necessary to perform the essential job duties.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Desire to learn advanced applications and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated organization ability.
- Knowledge of student management, financial accounting, and other programs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Occasionally, the employee may lift up to 50 pounds, such as, to lift files, papers, and equipment.
