Role Description:
The Senior Payroll Manager role oversees end-to-end payroll operations, including processing multi-state payrolls, ensuring accurate pay calculations, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing payroll schedules, reviewing and approving payroll runs, handling garnishments and payroll tax filings, and coordinating with HR and Finance on employee compensation changes. The Senior Payroll Manager will also oversee employee benefits-related payroll deductions, respond to employee payroll inquiries, and maintain accurate payroll records and reporting. Additional duties include identifying process improvements, implementing best practices, and mentoring payroll team members to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Equity Admin for Public Companies
- Demonstrated experience in companies with high growth scenarios
- Experience working with world-class Accounting, Finance, and Human Resource groups from Public Co.'s
- Strong Payroll Administration and Payroll Management skills, including experience with multi-state and high-volume payrolls.
- Demonstrated expertise in Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, with a solid understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory reporting.
- Knowledge of Employee Benefits and related payroll deductions, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefit programs.
- Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis, is highly beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
- Experience leading or supervising payroll staff and driving process improvements in payroll operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional payroll certification (e.g., CPP) is a plus.
Base Salary: 150,000-180,000
