Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team committed to transforming lives through behavioral health services. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and other self-care routines
- Collect and record data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Support teaching strategies designed to improve communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors in children and individuals with autism
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update client-specific behavior management strategies
- Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages client participation and growth during therapy sessions
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
- Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans effectively
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and a motivating attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to client success
- Must be certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willing to obtain certification upon hire; ongoing professional development is encouraged
