Renaissance High School is the Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) program for the district.
Clerical positions require passing of our district Clerical Skills Test (70%) and typing test with a score of at least 40 WPM. Testing must be complete to be considered for the position.

JOB DESCRIPTION - REGISTRAR
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The position of Registrar is to be responsible for the organization and processing of all student records, and assisting with student scheduling, registration, student grading, and enrolling of new students and withdrawal of students leaving the school.
Reports to and evaluated by: Building Principal or Designee
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct student curriculum planning and schedule preparation
- Work with student records clerk in pre-compiling credit evaluations (for counselor review)
- Prepare and conduct credit evaluations
- Participate in the student scheduling process and adding and dropping of classes
- Coordinate pre-registration with incoming students
- Coordinate recommended student placement
- Organize and supervise maintenance of all student records including enrollment, transfer of records, withdrawals, and recording student grades
- Work with principal and counselors in planning and conducting student registration and master schedules
- Work directly with students, parents, and staff in pre-program planning and pre-program resolution (for counselor review)
- Compile and produce building reports as requested by the principal
- Be responsible for high school grading process including class lists, grade scans, and report cards
- Be responsible for accurately recording transfer and/or drop-out information for all students
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- High School Diploma
- 2-4 year college degree and/or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; organize and prioritize work; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students and the community
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, demonstrating the proper use of grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google products and familiarity with Skyward Student Management System preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work-related matters
JOB DESCRIPTION - GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS SPECIALIST
General Description
The Bremerton School District Graduation Requirements Specialist will identify and provide support services to students who are not on track for graduation. The focus of this position is to implement an accelerated graduation plan for each student. The incumbent will receive direction from the High School principal or designee on specific requirements needed to achieve program goals and will work in collaboration with High School counselors in the daily performance of assigned duties. To be effective in this role, the incumbent must be culturally competent and sensitive to the diverse needs of students.
Reports to and evaluated by: Building Principal
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- In collaboration with the High School counseling staff, create a structure to help students who do not meet standard, including personally meeting with an administrator/counselor to review how the school, student, and family will partner to support the student’s progress toward standard
- Act as a resource for requirements, Collection of Evidence processes, Student Learning Plan development, and Senior Culminating Project completion
- Assist counselors/administrating staff in data collection related to student performance and report completion
- Design student schedules to incorporate remediation and/or classes when necessary
- Monitor student progress toward mandated state and district graduation requirements
- Provide support services to meet the students’ needs in attendance and social behavior
- Provide additional personal contact for parents with regard to their child’s academic performance, attendance, accomplishments, and concerns
- Whenever appropriate, serve as a resource in sharing cultural awareness for staff and students
- Collect data and provide an end-of-year report summarizing successes and challenges, if any
- Attend additional training or meetings as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
