The Bremer County Attorney is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Bremer County Attorney to work in a positive and calm professional working environment.
Major Functions:
Prosecution of criminal and juvenile cases, assigned docket will be based on experience and competencies.
Representing the State of Iowa and Bremer County in court proceedings.
Assisting law enforcement with investigations and charging decisions, including outside of normal office hours.
Assisting HHS and JCS with juvenile justice matters and proceedings.
Collaboration with law enforcement and partner agencies to provide high quality victim-centered crime victim services.
Opportunities for additional training, community outreach, and public engagement.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar of the State of Iowa.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Not required to live in Bremer County, but must be able to commute to/from Bremer County Courthouse.
Previous prosecution experience is preferable, but not required.
Positive disposition toward the legal profession.
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug testing.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range $70,000 - $122,809, depending on experience.
