Job Overview
Breeze Coach Leasing is seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Coach Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motor coaches and buses to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Volvo and Detroit engines and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with occasional overtime and call-ins during peak seasons.
Duties
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on motor coaches and buses.
- Troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, HVAC, and suspension systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all repairs.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer guidelines for troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Qualifications
- Experience working with Volvo and Detroit engines (required).
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
- Must provide own basic tools; only specialty tools are provided by the company.
- CDL license (preferred but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time schedule with occasional call-ins and overtime during busy seasons.
