Duties
- Operate and monitor printing presses and related machinery to ensure optimal performance and quality output
- Set up printing equipment by interpreting technical drawings and specifications, adjusting machine settings accordingly
- Perform routine maintenance on printing machines, including cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Utilize hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and CNC machines to assist with equipment setup or minor repairs
- Maintain an organized workspace by adhering to safety standards and safety protocol adherence at all times
- Conduct quality checks on printed materials, inspecting for color accuracy, alignment, and overall quality standards
- Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks related to print projects, including cutting, sewing, or finishing as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in machine operation, including printing presses and CNC equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools for woodworking or fabrication
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including power tool safety and heavy lifting protocols
- Experience with woodworking, millwork, or construction is a plus
- Familiarity with basic math skills such as measuring with tape measures or calipers for precise fabrication
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management practices is beneficial
- Competence in sewing or garment construction can be advantageous for certain print projects involving textiles
