Responsibilities:
- Enforce local & state laws while maintaining public safety.
- Conduct traffic stops, issue citations, and make arrests when necessary.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide first aid or CPR as needed.
- Investigate crimes, gather evidence, and interview witnesses or suspects.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies for surveillance and intelligence sharing.
- Manage conflict situations effectively to ensure community safety.
- Participate in community outreach programs to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the public.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends & holidays.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related field is preferred.
- Must be 21 years old
- Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Successful completion of police academy training or equivalent experience in law enforcement - MUST HOLD A CURRENT KLEC/POPS CERTIFICATION.

- Previous experience in law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficient in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A background check will be conducted on all applicants, including but not limited to interviewing family, friends, neighbors and previous employers
- Candidates must allow access to social media history
- Knowledge of surveillance methods and practices
- Ability to operate in high-pressure environments while maintaining composure.
