JOB TITLE: Digital Learning/Transition Readiness Coordinator
SUPERVISOR: Superintendent and Chief of Student Services
EXEMPT STATUS: Exempt
WORK YEAR: 220 Day Contract
BASIC FUNCTION: Collaborates with appropriate instructional and technical staff to support, manage and optimize the use of instructional software and network resources to support quality teaching and learning; oversees the district virtual learning platforms; provides instructional staff with essential support, modeling, co-teaching and/or coaching to enhance technology-based instructional practices and productivity; serves as a liaison between schools and district technology initiatives for school-based implementation to increase effective teaching and learning; serves as a liaison between schools and families for virtual learning platforms; ensures processes are established in all schools K-12 to assess student preparation for college and/or workforce and upon graduation, meet transition readiness benchmarks as established by the Kentucky Department of Education.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Collaborates with teachers in composing effective technology, content-based lessons and supports innovation in the classroom
- Promotes and models effective technology instructional best practices for quality classroom instruction
- Supports the use of technology in classrooms, computer labs, and across school and district networks
- Oversees District Virtual Learning programs and platforms
- Assist in facilitation of digital learning for the district
- Assists in program implementation, curriculum development, individual learning plans, transition plans, college and career readiness, and meeting graduation requirements
- Maintains regular attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is performed while standing or walking. It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years of successful teaching experience with demonstrated evidence of and potential for success in administrative/supervisory responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of current curriculum and instructional trends and techniques
- Specialization in technology and Secondary experience preferred
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Kentucky Education Certification
- Google Educator Level I and II Certification Required (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Has met the requirements for criminal records check and child abuse and neglect check as specified by Kentucky State Law
