Job Summary:
Hospitality Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Assistant Manager toassist with the maintenance functions at 3 of our propertie s. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety,functionality, and appearance of the property, while supervising a team of maintenance professionals. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool/hot tubs.
- Responsible for ordering and billing.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate with external contractors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor expenses and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with hotel management to support overall operations and guest experience.
- Participate in Vail Resorts Best Practice Groups, Maintenance specific, property specific and market wide leadership team meetings, along with resort/company special events.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally to staff, guests, and homeowners. Respond and engage with customer suggestions, complaints and recognition.
- Deliver the “Experience of a Lifetime” to our staff, guests, and homeowners.
- Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations for Vail Resorts and lead a team to the same standard.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
The expected pay range is $56,485.00/hr - $74,518.63/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
