Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain schedule availability to accept opportunities that arise

Execute lesson plans consistent with the teachers guidelines, and school curriculum

Create and maintain a discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe, positive, productive learning environment

Familiarize yourself with emergency protocols, such as fire drills and lockdowns

Adhere to all school policies and procedure

Carry out lesson plan instructions from the classroom teacher

Take attendance according to school procedure

Assign homework according to teachers lesson plans

Supplement lesson plans with your own class activities if lessons end early

Leave a brief report that includes absences, progress with lesson plan, disciplinary actions, positive experiences, etc.
Experience and education
- Bachelors degree - minimum
- Some experience with teaching and/or coaching
Competencies
- Scheduling availability, flexibility, patience
- Confidence and proficiency in giving instruction
- Ability to pass background check
