Job Summary
The primary role for the Material Handler is to move material around the plant with a forklift and/or crane to support the needs of the plant floor. In addition, this role may package, weigh, load, unload, stock, do inventory of, and stage material in a timely and accurate manner. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to perform the duties to the highest standard.
Job Requirements
- Identify and obtain pertinent information from shop order or bill of materials (BOM)
- Move material around plant using a forklift and/or overhead crane
- Ensure areas are supplied with parts and remove finished skids
- Move and stage material as scheduled for optimum efficiency
- Receive material and stock to the proper plant locations
- Pack prepping material for shipment
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Perform housekeeping duties in the plant as required
- Follow standard work procedures
- Adhere to all safety standards
Minimum Requirements
- Highly organized
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Have an eye for detail and understanding of production floor flow
- Experience with reading BOMs and blueprints
- Experience with operating forklifts and overhead cranes
- Ability to bend, lift, sit, and stand for 8 to 10 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Salary : $36,179 - $46,250
