We’re hiring: Paid Temporary Digital Communications Assistant (10–15 hrs/week, hybrid)
The Breast Cancer Collective is looking for a part-time, temporary communications assistant to help us stay consistent and visible during a busy stretch of events and community outreach.
Time commitment: 10–15 hours/week, hybrid (some in-person in the Alexandria area; some remote)
Duration: Now through Sept 2026 (flexible start date)
Reports to: Executive Director
Pay: Hourly (paid through payroll)
What you’ll do
- Draft and schedule social posts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) using our templates and content calendar
- Create simple graphics in Canva
- Draft short blog posts (program highlights, community stories, sponsor spotlights, event recaps)
- Support gala planning communications and sponsor recognition deliverables
You’ll be a fit if you
- Write clearly and hit deadlines
- Can take feedback and revise quickly
- Are comfortable juggling a few projects at once
- Have basic Canva experience (or similar)
