Job Description: We are looking for a highly competent associate attorney with a background in litigation to join our small but productive team. We are a lifestyle-forward firm that provides significant flexibility and autonomy to employees. This particular role has the option for hybrid work (in-office and at-home days) as well as the option to live in the vicinity of either of our two offices (in the west-side Portland area and Tillamook County). You will be expected to competently and confidently lead litigation matters, usually involving real estate, landlord/tenant, probate/trust, and/or business, as well as meet with clients and collaboratively work with other team members. Requirements: at least 3-5 years of litigation experience, excellent time-management and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude. You must:
· Enjoy working with real salt-of-the-earth people as clients
· Be able to pick up the phone rather than hide behind email
· Be enlivened by the fight, but able keep the office free of drama
· Endeavor to see the bigger picture
· Advocate for the client using the art of storytelling
· Be able to approach discovery with a technician’s mindset
