ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS
- Grant Accounting Support
- Develop and monitor processes to ensure Uniform Guidance compliance for federally funded contracts.
- Prepare monthly vouchers for grant contracts as required.
- Maintain supporting documentation for all expenses included in vouchers.
- Prepare monthly program grant expenditure reports, noting significant budget to actual variances and working with Program Directors to answer any questions.
Donor Accounting Support
- Monitor electronic donations through third party platforms (i.e., donor advised funds, corporate giving platforms) and record donations in Salesforce
- Enter donations into donor database from weekly deposits and prepare reports as needed
- Create Billing, Cash Receipt, and Bank Deposit accounting records for donations
- Update information in donor database as needed – i.e., address corrections, recording in-kind donations, etc.
Financial Operations
- Assist with monthly financial close process as needed
- Provide support for the annual budgeting process as needed.
- Provide support for the annual financial statement & uniform guidance audit, preparing work papers and gathering required documentation in conjunction with the CAO.
- Cross-train on processes for review and approval of purchase orders and invoices for payment
- Cross-train on processes for reviewing payables before posting for completeness and accuracy in coding expenses to appropriate line items
- Cross-train on payroll system and serve as backup for processing bi-weekly payroll
- Cross-train on processes for review and approval corporate credit card expense reports
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of two to four years of nonprofit, finance, or operational experience that can be demonstrated to apply to the duties listed in the job description.
- Experience with Salesforce preferred.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to relate well to and coordinate with the people being served, solve problems, communicate effectively, gather and analyze data, and make concise, accurate reports, and recommendations.
- Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel – including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts
- Strong experience utilizing CRM and/or ERP systems for financial operations management and accounting. Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
- Must have the ability to use initiative, discretion, and independent judgment in making decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office located in a multi-purpose facility and/or outdoors and thus will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be high depending on the activities in the facility.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and/or sit; use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; regularly talk or hear. The employee must be able to bend, stoop, pull, lift as well as have overhead extension of arms. Must be able to stand for long periods of time; be able to lift, carry or move at least 50 pounds. Must adhere to proper handling and lifting techniques. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION
$50,000-$55,000/annually
