Role Description The Public Safety Sales Representative is a full-time, hybrid role based in Fort Worth, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for prospecting and qualifying new public safety and government accounts, managing existing customer relationships, and presenting tailored two-way radio solutions that meet operational and coverage requirements. Daily activities include conducting onsite and virtual sales meetings, preparing proposals and quotes, coordinating product demonstrations, and collaborating with technical staff to ensure accurate system design. The representative will follow up on leads, maintain a detailed sales pipeline in a CRM, negotiate contracts within established guidelines, and support customers through installation and post-sale service coordination.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in public safety, telecommunications, technology, or related fields.
- Strong skills in customer relationship management, including prospecting, lead follow-up, and account retention.
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts related to radio systems, coverage, and equipment features.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including clear written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to manage multiple accounts, proposals, and deadlines.
- Comfort with using CRM software, office productivity tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and regionally for client visits and site assessments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet sales targets, and contribute positively to a team environment.
- Experience working with public safety agencies or government entities is highly beneficial.
