Closing Specialist

Your role as a Closing Specialist:

• Review and identify any unusual or suspicious activity to determine any potential risks.
• Review closing documentation to analyze files and ensure they are complete and in full compliance with Breakout policies
• Review and verify all required loan documentation, including Business Loan & Security Agreements (BLSA), identification documents, voided checks, tax returns, financial statements, and payoff letters
• Conduct comprehensive UCC searches and clear outstanding liens within company guidelines
• Generate and manage contracts in Salesforce for term loans, bridge loans, and other products, including contract status tracking, corrections, amendments, and additional appendices
• Manage finalization, completion, and execution of closing documentation.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Sales teams to ensure files are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and complete funding checklists to ensure all required information is gathered and questions answered.
• Communicate with internal and external parties involved in the funding process with regard to file status for any additional questions or documentation needed.
• Conduct funding calls, merchant interviews, and bank verifications.
• Coordinate funding package preparation and ensure the timely delivery of funds with the accounting team
• Maintain proficiency in Salesforce CRM, Asana project management, DocuSign, and other software platforms.
• File UCC financing statements (UCC-1s and UCC-3s) perfecting Breakout Capital’s security interest over the borrower’s pledged assets, amending UCC filings, and terminating UCC filings.

• Ability to balance a variety of tasks simultaneously while staying extremely organized and detail-oriented.

• Desire to learn, grow, and be coached.
• Computer proficiency and experience with CRMs, G-Suite & MS Office systems (including Excel).
• Exposure to or knowledge of various regulatory agencies preferred.
• Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in handling complex situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• Experience with alternative lending products (MCAs, business term loans, lines of credit)
• Previous work experience in a loan processing role is a plus.
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and compliance requirements
• Previous experience with Breakout's technology stack (Salesforce, Slack)
