Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly while providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the pos system.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our fine dining standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and the overall restaurant environment through effective bussing practices.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to guarantee guest safety.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience in a server role is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills accurately.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is advantageous but not required.
