Role Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Account Manager located in Austin, TX. We’re seeking an Account Manager who will take a proactive approach to providing customer care and waste diversion education. You will be focused on creating and nurturing long-term relationships. This role is responsible for driving client satisfaction, retention, and growth through consistent communication, thoughtful follow-ups, and strong ownership of assigned accounts. You’ll play a key role in pipeline management, and cross-team coordination to ensure services are delivered smoothly and clients feel supported at every stage.
Responsibilities*:

- Responding to leads, gathering requirements, preparing service proposals & agreements (20%)
- Setting up and maintaining accounts, contacts, services, and documenting communication in Salesforce CRM (10%)
- Managing account satisfaction with regular check-ins via phone, email, and in person (20%)
- Providing customer case support related to service issues or account updates (20%)
- Traveling to customer site locations in the Greater Austin Area (20%)
- Sharing educational resources and teaching customers about waste diversion (10%)
Qualifications:
- Reliable personal transportation & valid driver’s license, used for site visits.
- Personal laptop and smartphone used for daily work.
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions which sometimes includes standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in compliance with applicable laws, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfortable working in industrial and outdoor environments, including waste diversion facilities.
- The ideal candidate for this position is/has:

- Detail-oriented & organized, great with prioritizing and multitasking
- Excellent at problem-solving, research, and documentation skills
- Proficient with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Passion for sustainability & waste diversion a plus (but training will be provided)
- Bilingual is a plus but not required (spanish/english)
- Eager to support Austin’s Universal Recycling Ordinance goal to reach zero waste!
