Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Masonry Worker/Hardscaper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating durable, aesthetically pleasing structures and surfaces using various masonry techniques. Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials with precision and attention to detail
- Execute hardscape projects including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces using various materials and techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
- Prepare surfaces by mixing concrete, applying plaster or stucco, and installing rebar reinforcement for structural integrity
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely to complete tasks efficiently
- Measure dimensions accurately and cut materials precisely for seamless installation
- Collaborate with team members on renovation projects, framing, carpentry tasks, roofing preparations, and restoration work as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in masonry work or hardscape construction on commercial or residential sites
- Proficiency in concrete forming, finishing techniques, rebar installation, and plastering
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings with a clear understanding of technical specifications
- Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers; power tools including saws and drills; heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and material ordering
- Ability to work safely at heights using scaffolding or ladders; understanding of OSHA safety standards is essential
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Additional skills such as tile laying, metal stud framing, welding, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing prep work or restoration experience are advantageous
