We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to lead our plant-based pastry production in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. In this role, you will help oversee daily pastry operations, support consistent product execution, and contribute to a positive team culture centered on excellence, efficiency, and craftsmanship. The shift begins at 5/5:30 am and weekend work is required.
Responsibilities- Work directly under our chef/general manager.
- Coordinate daily pastry production to ensure timely completion of assigned products
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked items according to established recipes and standards
- Monitor product quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation
- Support team members with guidance, training, and workflow prioritization
- Assist with production scheduling and coordination of prep tasks
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the workspace
- Help manage ingredient usage, inventory levels, and waste reduction
- Communicate production needs, equipment issues, and supply shortages to leadership
- Contribute to recipe development, process improvement, and seasonal menu execution as needed
- Previous experience in pastry, bakery, or high-volume food production
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality baked and pastry items consistently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead by example and support a team in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain production standards
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy items as needed
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role within a pastry or bakery setting
- Familiarity with scratch baking, laminated doughs, plated desserts, or specialty pastries
- Experience supporting inventory control, ordering, or production planning
