Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, reliable, and well-mannered salesperson to sell bread products at the Dallas Farmers Market every Saturday and Sunday. Must speak fluent English. Must be able to actively sell the products - engaging with customers, offering bread samples, explaining the products, etc. This individual will also take sandwich orders and process customer payments for all products (simple POS system and cash).
The shop is at the Dallas Farmers Market, OUTSIDE, under a shed, in a tent. Must be able to work outside in a very fast-paced environment. Must be reliable and punctual.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, selling bread products, taking orders, answering questions.
- Assist customers with product selection and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain an organized and stocked checkout area, ensuring products are readily available for customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the market, including restocking display as needed.
- Utilize the POS system effectively for transactions and inventory management.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cash handling.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for shoppers.
