Role Description The Mechanic role at BREA AUTO SERVICE, INC. is a full-time, on-site position based in Brea, CA. The Mechanic will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostic evaluations on a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Day-to-day tasks include identifying mechanical issues, completing repairs, replacing parts, and conducting preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and performance. The role also involves using diagnostic tools and equipment, documenting work performed, communicating findings to the service advisor, and following shop safety procedures. Qualifications
- Strong skills in vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, including routine services and complex mechanical work.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce breakdowns and extend vehicle life.
- Ability to work with Heavy Equipment and automotive tools safely and effectively.
- Proficient Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
- Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) or equivalent hands-on experience in auto repair.
- Knowledge of repair procedures for multiple brands, including BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Honda, Acura, Ford, and Chevy.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
