Description
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Production Support Staff member to join our growing team. This role is essential in supporting our manufacturing operations and helping us meet company production goals. Daily responsibilities vary based on departmental needs and may include warehousing functions, preparing raw materials, packaging finished goods, and maintaining equipment and tools.
Responsibilities not limited to:
Technical Oversight
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and job travelers to understand job scope and production schedules.
- Assist with marking, cutting, assembling, and processing materials as per engineering specifications.
- Prepare raw materials for production; pack and stage finished goods for shipment.
- Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery as required.
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
Management and Strategy
- Follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate records for receiving shipping, material tracking, and work-in-progress (WIP).
- Participate in inventory control activities including physical counts.
- Work collaboratively with team members and attend cross-functional meetings as needed.
- Uphold and model BRD’s core values and cultural standards.
- Keep the warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Engage in weekly safety talks and team meetings.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Ability to listen carefully and follow detailed instructions.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in handling, cutting, and manipulating materials using provided tools.
- Experience with layout work and pattern tracing in a fabrication setting.
- Accurate in maintaining transaction logs and physical records.
- Physically able to lift 30–40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Capable of standing and working on feet throughout the shift.
- Certified or willing to become certified to operate a forklift
