Physician Assistant – Compassionate Care for Elderly & Chronic Condition Patients

As a full-time Physician Assistant on our team, you will work collaboratively with physicians to deliver comprehensive care in an outpatient setting. You will manage a panel of patients with complex chronic conditions and age-related health needs, emphasizing prevention, education, and holistic support.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions common in geriatric populations and patients with chronic illness
- Follow individualized treatment plans and coordinate ongoing care
- Review and report diagnostic tests and labs
- Prescribe medications and therapies within your scope of practice
- Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and healthy aging
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our EHR system (eClinical Works)
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant (primary care, internal medicine, geriatrics, or chronic care experience strongly preferred)
- Warm, empathetic, and patient-centered approach — must genuinely enjoy working with elderly patients and those with chronic conditions
- At least two professional references that will verify your credentials in recent clinical experience
- Willingness and ability to familiarize yourself with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EHR basics prior to your start date (training support will be provided)
- DEA registration required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (commensurate with experience and productivity)
- 6 weeks (30 days) paid vacation per year with prior agreed upon dates
