Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant

Routine dental assistant duties…
- Comply with HIPAA policies.
- Cheerfully and professionally interact with patients and their families.
- Assist with procedures, to include all routine pediatric treatment, hygiene, and orthodontics.
- Teach patients and parents about the value of and ways to achieve oral health.
- Conduct patient screening procedures: Review medical history, chart electronically using Dentrix software, and take blood pressure and pulse.
- Expose radiographs: Expose and process intraoral phosphor plates, expose digital panoramic and lateral cephalometric images, and appropriately store images in patient’s digital chart.
- Disinfect treatment areas after procedures and reset for the next patient.
- Sterilize instruments and prepare tray set ups.
- Use Dentrix software to input appointment charges with accuracy, and schedule patient appointments.
- Use Weave software to communicate with patients via text messaging.
- Participate in all daily, monthly, and quarterly tests and maintenance of patient chairs, sterilizers, and radiology equipment.
- Ability to Coronal Polish is a plus!
Perform additional duties as required by the practice to ensure continuity of patient care, to include…
- Assist with front office duties, such as confirming patients and calling patients who are due for hygiene visits.
- Verify patient insurance.
- Apply sealants and fluoride.
- Process electronic payments and post to patient accounts.
Required…
- Hold and maintain a current Texas Registered Dental Assistant license.
- Coronal Polish certification is a plus!
Team members will be reimbursed for the maintenance of their required licenses. Full-time team members (32 or more hours per week) are eligible for paid time off, medical benefits, and 401K participation.
