Essential Functions |

Is courteous, knowledgeable of menu, and professional at all times when serving a customer. |
|
Sets tables and maintain work stations in proper order. |
|
Takes food and beverage orders and provides service to residents and guests in all dining venues. |
|
Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and guests. |
|
Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service. |
|
Assists with dishwashing and distribution of clean china if needed. |
|
Maintains safe and sanitary conditions of work areas. |
|
Attends in-service training seminars when scheduled. |
|
Maintains the facility and department standards for personal hygiene and uniform guidelines. |
|
Completes all assigned cleaning tasks prior to the end of the shift. |
|
Helps to seat residents whenever possible. |
|
Fills in as a Host/Hostess, or Bartender when needed. |
|
Alerts the lead server and/or Dining Room Manager of any concerns or problems pertaining to the resident or guest. |
|
Cooperates and coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smooth run department. |
|
Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards. |
|
Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing. |
|
Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors. |
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
- High school education or GED preferred, but not required.
- Requires a minimum of one to three years experience in dining services preferably in a fine dining venue desired.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to serve liquor.
