Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Full-Time Mobile Phlebotomist to perform specialty blood draws for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) testing at patient homes and designated clinical locations. This role requires strict adherence to time-sensitive and protocol-driven collection procedures, excellent technical skill, and a strong understanding of specimen integrity for neurologically focused laboratory testing.
This is a full-time mobile position requiring 8–10 hour workdays. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing a daily travel schedule, and performing precise, standardized collections where accuracy, timing, and documentation are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for specialty TBI laboratory panels in mobile settings
- Travel to patient homes or designated clinical sites throughout the workday
- Adhere to strict timing, tube type, and specimen handling requirements specific to TBI testing protocols
- Verify lab orders, patient identity, and collection windows prior to each draw
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, processing, storage, and transport to designated laboratories
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards, safety regulations, and HIPAA requirements
- Accurately document all collections, timing, and patient interactions in electronic systems
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, laboratory personnel, and administrative staff
- Manage an 8–10 hour daily route, maintaining punctuality and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current phlebotomy certification (NHA, ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience
- Demonstrated ability to follow complex, time-sensitive draw protocols
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently in a mobile healthcare environment
Compensation & Benefits
