What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Dispatcher position at Brazos Dozer?
BDS is rapidly growing, and we are looking for a detail-oriented administrative office employee to help us meet the demand of our ever-growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Call Management: Answer emergency and non-emergency calls from motorists, law enforcement, and insurance providers.
- Strategic Dispatching: Assign drivers to service calls (accidents, breakdowns, or impounds) based on location, equipment type, and urgency.
- Driver Coordination: Use GPS tracking and two-way radio to monitor driver status and provide optimal routing information.
- Customer Communication: Provide accurate ETAs and reassure customers who may be in distressed or dangerous roadside situations.
- Administrative Support: Enter data into dispatch software (Towbooks), process payments, and maintain accurate records of all service calls.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1 years of dispatching or high-volume call center experience preferred (Towing industry experience is a major plus).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of [City/County] geography and main transit routes.
- Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to type 40 WPM.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under extreme pressure.
- Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including [nights, weekends, or holidays].
