IT Support Technician

Job Summary:

The IT Support Technician is responsible for front line technical support issues for both local and remote locations. This role focuses on day-to-day support and administration of our IT Systems and the users who rely on it every day.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with services including asset deployment, software installation, troubleshooting, user assistance and training This is not where skills and abilities go
• Travel to remote locations to serve as the IT resource for all technological needs. This may include:
  • Supporting existing infrastructure in place (networking/phone/printing)
  • Setting up new infrastructure (network/ISP/printing/cameras)
  • Supporting local employees with new or existing technology
• General responsibilities include level 1 technical issues, setting up or replacing workstations and mobile devices, and consultations to end user issues and address needs

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of networking concepts, both deployment and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 11
• Comfortable with using and supporting mobile devices specifically iPads and iPhones
• Experience with administrative tasks like setting up new accounts, resetting passwords, unlocking accounts, deactivating accounts, etc
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
• Strong communication skills

Education and Experience:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, or enterprise IT environments
• Candidates who are working towards a certification or want to gain experience in Technical Support Field are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 LBS
• Stands frequently and walks about the work areas
• Occasionally stretches up and across when completing daily tasks
• Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally
• Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally
• Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items used daily
• Contact with skin irritants or water may occur during certain processes
• Repetitive hand and arm movements are required when operating machinery
• The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Safety Sensitive Position

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee and Team Members without proper safety precautions. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. Team Members will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies due to these safety risks.
