KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise the career development function, including oversight of the current development coach
- Design and implement a comprehensive career development strategy to enhance employee retention and internal advancement
- Collaborate with executive leadership, HR, and department managers to ensure development programs support organizational objectives
- Facilitate regular one-on-one coaching sessions focused on career planning, goal setting, and skill enhancement
- Create, manage, and evaluate non-safety training initiatives, including leadership development programs
- Track and report employee development progress and readiness to senior leadership
- Support employees in navigating workplace challenges and professional growth opportunities
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Identify and pursue external funding opportunities, including training grants
- Partner closely with HR, recruiting, and executive leadership teams
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail in written communication, documentation, and task execution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening
- Strong organizational abilities with effective time management
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Development, Education, or a related discipline preferred
- Equivalent experience (5–8 years) in a similar role may be considered in place of formal education

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis.
