Advantage Steel and Construction Welder

Advantage Steel Fabrication of Saxonburg, PA, is looking for a full-time entry to mid-level Welder to weld and fabricate parts for bridges and buildings. As a welder at Advantage Steel, you will have the ability to work hands on with structures that will be integrated into the infrastructure.

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with the opportunity to work extended hours as necessary to meet project needs.

About Advantage Steel Fabrication

Advantage Steel Fabrication is recognized throughout the industry for its expertise in diverse steel fabrication, offering complex fabrication, CNC machinery, cutting, coping, welding, bending, and other fabrication needs.

Advantage Steel Fabrication Shop fabricates structural components for construction projects that include Bridges, Buildings, Foundation Work, Locks and Dams and other miscellaneous structures. Advantage primarily fabricates Steel and Stainless Steel structures.

• 1-5 years of welding / fabricating experience is required
• Must be willing to learn and apply welding in a code driven shop.
• Must be willing to work in teams to accomplish a common goal.
• Must be willing to learn other fabrication equipment such as Saw Cutting, CNC drilling, Press Brake.
• Ability to cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• A background in print reading and weld symbols is a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Technical or Trade School preferred.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee and Team Members without proper safety precautions. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. Team Members will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies due to these safety risks.
