Duties
- Identify potential clients through outside sales efforts, including networking, telemarketing, and community outreach, to expand our customer base.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis to recommend suitable insurance solutions across property casualty, health, and commercial lines.
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements that meet regulatory standards.
- Manage sales administration tasks such as preparing proposals, processing applications, and maintaining accurate client records.
- Communicate complex insurance concepts clearly and effectively to clients in multiple languages, including bilingual interactions when applicable.
- Stay informed about industry trends, insurance regulation updates, and product knowledge to provide expert guidance.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies that attract new clients and retain existing ones through targeted outreach efforts.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales environments with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate persuasively and build rapport quickly.
- Familiarity with insurance products such as property casualty, health insurance, and commercial lines is highly desirable.
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency are preferred to serve diverse client populations effectively.
- Knowledge of insurance regulation, HIPAA compliance (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), benefits administration, and customer service best practices is advantageous.
- Excellent analysis skills for assessing client needs and tailoring insurance solutions accordingly.
- Experience in sales administration tasks such as documentation management, CRM usage, and follow-up procedures is a plus.
