What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Child Welfare & Attendance Specialist (CWA) position at Brawley Elementary School District?
The job of "CWA" is done for the purpose of providing assistance "to school site personnel, parents/guardians, and student support in early intervention and prevention for students with significant needs in academic, social, and behavioral areas. Performs duties relating to child welfare and attendance including processing appropriate documents relating to compulsory school attendance, admission, and Intra/Inter District policies. Mission:

*High School diploma or equivalent. A.A. degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
*Prior experience working with youth or community-based activities.
*Bilingual (English/Spanish)
*Apply intervention techniques in crisis situations; basic record keeping; basic problem-solving techniques; communication in secondary language in both written and verbal form, equipment
operation in a proper and safe manner, records maintenance.
