Position Summary
Masonry Laborers perform tasks involving physical labor at commercial and industrial construction projects. You will clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. You will be following directions and assisting the other laborers/skilled workers on site.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Supports the masons work area stocked.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Cleaning finished work surface: including but not limited to power washing, scrubbing.
Learn to cut bricks as needed for corners, arches and complex patterns.
Prepares surfaces for laying brick, block, or stone.
Keeping mortar temped on the board.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work.
Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
