You will manage purchase orders, source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, expedite critical parts, and collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to support fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase, loan, and exchange orders for aircraft and engine parts.
- Source suppliers and evaluate pricing, availability, quality, service, and reliability.
- Expedite critical and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) orders to meet required delivery timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve order, shipping, and invoice discrepancies.
- Negotiate pricing and cost reductions based on quotes and market benchmarking.
- Coordinate parts shipments and track supplier delivery commitments.
- Maintain accurate procurement, requisition, and parts records.
- Work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, Inventory, and Supply Chain teams.
- Use ERP/MRP and online procurement systems to process orders and analyze data.
- Prepare reports and review invoices for accuracy.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or materials management.
- Experience working with suppliers/vendors and managing purchase orders.
- Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to understand technical documentation and analyze data.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and after-hours as needed.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Aviation, airline, aerospace, or MRO procurement experience.
- Experience with aircraft or engine parts and AOG procurement.
- Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and materials management.
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, and AP/AR processes.
- Strong supplier negotiation experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma or Green Belt certification.
- Experience working in complex, high-pressure operational environments.
