Hiring for a position of a clearance officer in a title agency specializing in all real estate transactions in the city and state of New York.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clearance and review payoff for authenticity on files prior to closing.
- Understand and have experience in reviewing search documents, clearance, identifying issues and risks, and working with underwriting counsel.
- Respond to third party closed clearance requests.
- Accurately detect and review title issues that have to be resolved prior to closing.
- Monitor title production to ensure all work is being prepared in a correct and timely manner.
- Read and analyze surveys to determine possible issues to be included in the title report.
- Remain up-to-date on procedural changes and underwriting bulletins.
- Perform other duties assigned by the company.
