Your Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take a leading role in designing and developing mechanical systems for customer projects and internal innovations in:
- Machine Design
- Automation & Controls
- Product Development
- Build-to-Print/Fabrication
You will apply advanced engineering principles to create, optimize, and troubleshoot mechanical designs while mentoring junior engineers and driving technical innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create and refine mechanical system designs using SolidWorks and other engineering tools.
- Prototyping & Testing: Support rapid prototyping efforts, conduct functional testing, and iterate designs for efficiency.
- Simulation & Analysis: Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools to evaluate designs.
- Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Technical Documentation: Generate technical drawings, specifications, and reports to support manufacturing and assembly.
- Mentorship & Technical Guidance: Provide mentorship to junior engineers by reviewing designs, offering technical feedback, and guiding them through problem-solving and best practices in mechanical engineering. Foster a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and continuous learning.
- Technical Leadership: Support project planning, feasibility assessments, and contribute to Statements of Work during the sales process.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and company quality requirements.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (MS preferred).
- Experience: 7 years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and development.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Advanced proficiency with FEA and CFD analysis tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, etc.).
- Deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics.
- Experience with designing mechanical interfaces for control systems (e.g., microcontrollers, PLCs, SCADA).
- Proficiency in mathematical modeling tools like MATLAB, LabView, or Python.
- Work Requirements: Full-time, onsite collaboration is essential for team integration.
Compensation
- Pay: $125,000-$150,000 per year. Where candidates fall within the pay range is dependent on factors such as years of applicable experience.
